C.L. Cullen writes from the conviction that the most compelling protagonists are born from emotional risk—and that a boldly lived life becomes the raw material for unforgettable story.

As a screenwriter, she explores fortitude, grief, addiction, intuition, and reinvention through psychologically layered, high-stakes narratives that blur the line between truth and fiction. Her characters are not passive survivors; they are forged through reckoning—shaped by loss, guided by instinct, and transformed through consequence.

Her original screenplay Saint Mistress was written in a three-week creative immersion, which she later expanded into a six-episode limited series, reflecting her belief that ongoing jeopardy—internal and external—is the engine of both great cinema and authentic self-actualization.

As an author, she wrote her narrative nonfiction work In Spite of Heroin with raw emotion and grit. It drew the attention of Ed McDonald, CEO of Omnibusworks, in November 2024 for screen development—an auspicious turning point in her creative evolution. She is currently writing the  screenplay adaptation to become a limited series based on the book.

More About Cullen

Before committing fully to writing, Cullen spent twenty-three years as a flight attendant, earning recognition for leadership and courage, including a Safety Award for guiding passengers to safety during an aviation accident in 2005. Her lived experience with crisis and human fragility informs every page she writes.

Her creative process is intuitive yet disciplined, guided by emotional truth rather than formula. She trusts what’s moving through her knows what it’s doing—following what feels alive and setting aside what feels forced.

Cullen fiercely protects her sense of whimsy. She remains open to destiny, fate, divine timing, dharma, and ongoing providence.

Her unwavering sense of self and her ability to detach from outcomes while risking fully-are her greatest strengths. She chooses hope, crediting her innate optimism as the force behind her resilience through profound darkness. She relies upon and deeply trusts her intuition.
