When Dana Chase wrote her 2016 memoir, “In Spite of Heroin,” it was with the idea that she could help other parents caught in what she describes as the “hellscape” her life became when she learned that her twin sons were struggling with drug addiction.

“I want to help as many people as I can through my books and my speaking engagements,” says Chase, a Fargo native who now makes her home in Detroit Lakes.
